Chocolate Desserts & Wine To Die For!

Saturday, February 25th at Jim & Jeremy’s house in Dallas
was the site of our Jenny Craig meeting gone completely
separate tables then you could possibly hope to eat. The
choices in wine ranged from sparkling wines to reds from
all over the world and Port wines from Rosenblum in
California, Henesy in Australia and at least three from
Portugal.
I was extremely proud of all who particapated, whether they
bought their dessert from the store (Central Market seemed
to be the hot spot) or they braved it in the kitchen for
something homemade, everyone did a fantastic job. What
was even more impressive is that everyone put a lot of
thought into what wine would pair with the dessert they
brought. At first, I believe we really tried to choose the
wine that went with the dish that was brought with it, but
very quickly we determined that since chocolate was the
underlying theme in our event and every wine there was
chosen to pair with that ingredient, you could literally mix
up different wines with different desserts and they all tasted
just fine together.
I would like to thank Jim & Jeremy for lending us their
home and for going to all the trouble that they did. The
house is very, very charming! Everyone had a great time
and we met some new members, in fact, I believe everyone
from Mark Peterman’s office was there. I was beginning to
think I was participating in the Millionaire Company
Meeting.









So I guess it's true, red wine
and chocolate really do turn
you tongue purple!
