A Budget Wine & Halloween Party Recap
Wow!  Tara Judd was our hostess with the mostess for our first ever
DSWS Halloween Party and let me tell you, did she ever go all out!  If
you missed it, you blew it!  Tara spared no expense as she turned her
home into a spooky retreat for ghosts and goblins and one heck of a
great Halloween atmosphere.  There was even a makeshift graveyard in
the back of the house.  There were also plenty of good food, better wines
and fun games played throughout the evening, including some rather
interesting games of Truth or Dare Jenga.  A must for an upcoming event
for sure!

We had many attendees that dressed up in some great costumes to make
the evening even more fun and interesting.  We had a contest for the
"Best" costume, the "Scariest" costume and the "Funniest" costume.
Everyone at the party voted on the three catagories.  We had some
cheating going on under the table as Fred Flinstone tried to stuff the
ballot box with his name on multiple best costume ballots, but in the end,
even that wasn't enough to beat the winner of the best costume, who
happens to be my lovely wife, Leslie Johnson, a.k.a. "I Dream of Genie".

Forrest MacFarlane was the winner of our "Scariest" costume with his
rendition of some cross between a devil and Count Dracula.  Then there
was the newly married Ronda Peterman, who stuck with the Wine Theme
idea and came as a bunch of "Wine Grapes" that took home the prize for
the "Funniest" costume.  Later in the evening, we had a bobbing for
corks contest and Fred Flinstone was up to his tricks again, trying to
cheat the system by forcing corks out of the bucket with his head.  He
was promptly disqualified and our winner with a total of twelve corks in
60 seconds (1 cork every 5 seconds) was Sheree Mann!

I just want to say again, thank you so much Tara for hosting a such a
fantastic event and for all the trouble you went to get this event going.
Speaking of events, that is what Tara does, event planning and she owns
her own company called "Imagine Events".
