Here are some scenes from our Dec. 5th Private Llano Estacado
Wine Tasting
 www.llanowine.com

This event was a smashing success!  Easily one of our best
events yet!  A very special Thank You goes out to
Andre Meyer
and Llano Estacado Winery and Jennifer Vandeventer
for
putting on such a fantastic event!

Texas State Sales Manager for Llano Estacado Winery, Andre
Meyer, walked us through a Llano Wine and food pairing at
Jennifer Vandeventer's house.  This event featured the
following wines:

2002 Signature White - A blend of White Grape Varieties
Non-Vintage Gewurztraminer - A fragrant white
2001 Passionelle - A Red Rhone Style blend
2001 Cabernet/Shiraz blend
2001 Signature Red
- A blend of Red Grape Varieties
2000 Viviano - An Italian Red wine blend
Non-Vintage Port

I believe each style of wine found some new fans at this tasting,
but the real wines that stole the show were the 2000 Viviano and
the Non-Vintage Port!  Andre did such a great job presenting
each wine and giving us the details and facts that went into
making each one.  All of the wines we tasted showed off the
brilliance of Llano Winemakers, Greg Bruni and Chris Hull.
There is no wonder why Llano is the leader of fine wines in the
State of Texas.

The Qwik Way/Beverage City - Beringer Blass Wine
& Italian Food Pairing at Paparazzi's
Wendie Waters from Qwik Way/Beverage City paired up
fantastic wines with Gerry Mansour's famous Paparazzi's
Italian Cuisine.  The wine and food pairings were as follows:

We started off with Carmenet Sauvignon Blanc as our
reception wine.

Our first course matched a Campanile Pinot Grigio with lightly
battered Calamari Fritti.

The second course consisted of a Two Tone Farm
Chardonnay with Italian Egg Drop Soup.

The main course featured two wines, Gabbiano Chianti and
Two Tone Farm Merlot with Pollo Bolognese (chicken breast
with prosciutto, mozzarella and white wine sauce) served on a
bed of pasta.

And for dessert, we had Wolf Blass Shiraz with Chocolate
Mousse.

Thank you to everyone that came to our Wine Club Kick-Off
on Saturday, August 9th.  We had a lot of fun and made a lot of
new friends.  The club is now up to 45 members and still
growing.  Remember, if you know anyone that would be
interested in joining the Dallas Secret Wine Society, please
feel free to invite them out to one of our functions.

I would like to say a very special thanks to staff member Brad
Miller for hosting our first event.  You did a great job!
