It seems like the summer months this year have
been quite hectic for everyone, but we were
once again able to take time out of our busy
schedules to get together for another fabulous
evening of food and fun.  This time, Sheree the
birthday girl was our hostess with the mostess.
It started off with a Mushroom and Caramelized
Onion Pizza, thick crust and homemade by
Megan.  I'm sure Todd of course supervised the
whole project and picked out the Zins for dinner.

Next we were treated by a beautiful and I must
say artistic salad that featured alternating layers
of tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella and topped
with herbs and a homemade vinaigrette.  Yummy!

Sheree had spent all day in the kitchen slaving
away on four dishes that were to become our
entree' for the evening.  This quartet featured, a
family heirloom chicken recipe with a lemon
based sauce, green beans, mashed potatoes
and a corn bread stuffed with real corn that was
out of this world.

Leslie and I finished the evening off with a White
Chocolate Hazelnut Tart that turned out rather
good paired with a German Icewine with a side
of dried apricots.

Once again, it was a super-charged evening with
great food and wine and certainly wonderful
friends!
