Here is a list of food items that make an ideal pairing with
your Valpolicella wine:
· Pancetta, proscuitto, salami, andouille, chorizo or
Italian sausage, cold cuts
· Semi-hard to firm cheeses like; Bel Paese, Fontina,
Gorgonzola, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Pecorino Romano
· Heavily seasoned chicken, turkey or other fowl
dishes
· Meat dishes, roast beef, beef stew, steak fajitas,
flank steak, hamburgers,etc…
· Osso buco, pork chops that are grilled or roasted,
pork tenderloin, veal chops grilled, roasted or sautéed,
veal scallopine
· Pepperoni and/or sausage pizza, calzone, meat or
vegetable lasagna, meat or ricotta cannelloni, pasta with
carbonara, marinara, meat/tomato, or Bolognese sauce
