Alex Morrow of Virtuoso Selections, a wine distributor in Texas, took us
on a tour of the Southern Hemisphere with wines from Argentina,
Australia and one Northern Hemisphere wine from Italy. For this event,
we choose the BYOB restaurant in Frisco called Leonardo's. The food
was good, but the wines stoled the show. The tone was set by a first rate
Chardonnay from the Luca winery in Argentina and was followed up by
five fantastic reds that put us all in the mood for Italian food.
A special thanks goes out to Alex for presenting and providing the wines
for us and to Wendie Waters of Qwik Way/Beverage City for providing
some incredible deals on the wines from this evenings festivities. As a
side note, I want to apologize to everyone there about the dinner bill
fiasco. I promise that will never happen again!
