I have been studying wine for the past six years. All along my journey, I
have attended countless wine tastings throughout the DFW area, toured
many vineyards and have read well over 30 books concerning wine and
the business of wine. Wine has become my passion and I guess some
would say my obsession as well.
Two years ago, I started the wine club on this website as a way to meet
others in the area that had an interest in wine as well as an outlet for
sharing my passion and knowledge on the subject. Before starting the
wine club, I successfully completed my CTM in Toastmasters as a
Speaker and an Impromptu Speaker receiving over 14 awards along the
way. While applying my skills as a speaker, my knowledge of wine and
my creativity for coming up with new and exciting ways to learn and enjoy
wine, I have been able to put together some fantastic events and wine
classes, both for our wine club and for outside customers.
Some of the Clients I have put together wine dinners for would include;
Ventura Foods, Inc, Ben E. Keith Distributors, Ruffino's Restaurant in Ft.
Worth and Cici's Pizza. These wine dinners can be built around a theme,
such as, "Exploring Italian Wines and the Regions They Come From" or
"In Search of The Perfect Cabernet". The possibilities are endless. I
also have come up with fun and exciting wine courses such as "Learning
How to Taste" and "Cooking With Wine". All of my wine dinners and
courses are educational, but most importantly they are fun!
Wine has really become a hot topic and something that appeals to a wide
variety of people now. Having a wine dinner with a business client can be
an excellent way to build relationships in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
The side benefit is that you will have an event that your customer will be
talking about for a long time. Wine Tastings and Dinners can also be an
excellent and unique idea for hosting and entertaining friends.
If you are considering putting together a wine tasting/wine
dinner or would like to attend one our my wine classes, please

Wine Dinner Costs:
You determine your wine budget. How many people do you have coming to this event?
How nice do you want these wines to be? If you tell me you want to spend $1,000.00 on
the wine, I will spend exactly that. (I can purchase the wines for you, I have connections in
Dallas that you may not have and I do not charge you any additional amount for the wines
other than what I paid for them) A good rule of thumb is to have one bottle per person at
the event. Of course most will not drink an entire bottle, but it is better to have more than
you need than not enough.
Wine Glasses - $6.00 each for white wine glasses & $6.00 each for red wine glasses. You
may keep these glasses for yourself after the event or give them to your guests. They are
excellent wine glasses and ideal for tastings. Consider this, most restaurants tend to use
cheap wine glasses that are more dishwasher durable. These glasses are poorly designed
and do not add anything to the wine experience. You can get so much more out of the
experience by drinking wine from the proper serving glass.
Wine Booklets - If you would like your guests to have a great little souvenir to take home
with them, I can put together wine booklets that have tasting notes on the wines we are
covering, interesting facts about the wine, winery and region they come from, as well as a
recipe and food pairing suggestions that would be ideal with that particular wine. I also
have a page where your guest can make notes about a particular wine. The cost for this
would typically be $100.00 and that covers the photo paper and printer ink.
The Restaurant - I have a list of many BYOB restaurants in the DFW area and I typically
know which ones are very good at accommodating wine dinners. The price, menu, & style
of cuisine is up to you.
My Time & Presentation - I will present each wine as we taste them to your guests and
give interesting facts about the wines as we go through the dinner. If anyone has wine
related questions I would be happy to answer them as well as tell any interesting stories
about the wines or the wine business. For the wine shopping & gas, I would charge $50.00
and for the presentation itself I charge $200.00. I bring all the wines, provide the set up
and decant wines that need decanting, as well as have all the wines ready at the proper
serving temperature for you. Everything will be done first class!
